I used home-made inks for the series 'Arbor' (from the Latin, 'tree').

Images created using inks made with materials foraged from local trees and the non-toxic polymer photogravure process, encourage a rethinking of what is possible to achieve at home. Using oak galls, walnut husks and charcoal the project sees creative potential in what is often discarded.

Each print and its frame are made from the same tree species, with material and subject linked, making the works both of and from nature.

Rooted in environmental awareness and ecological hope, 'Arbour' invites people to reconnect with nature, rethink waste and rediscover sustainable creativity within their surroundings.
